Quotation marks are omitted

Any progress on this? Unfortunately, I'm still seeing the problem in v1.6.1.
However, I've found a workaround that may help with troubleshooting and save others considerable frustration:

  1. In the original Excel spreadsheet, use Ctrl+h to find/replace all single quotes and double quotes with their respective HTML codes:
' with  & #39;  [note: remove the space after the &]
" with  & #34;  [note: remove the space after the &]
  2. Save the spreadsheet as file type "CSV UTF-8 (comma separated values)"
  3. Import this CSV into Quirkos
Doing so preserves the double quotes and avoids the problem I described with the single quotes (i.e., causing adjacent cells to merge together unexpectedly and being replaced with commas).

Attached is a sample Excel file that implements the workaround for ease of testing (TestSources_WorkAround.xlsx) and a screen shot showing the result of the workaround (QuotesTest_SingleQuoteStrangeness_Corrected.png).

The one drawback I've found with this workaround is that the Search function in Quirkos then fails to find single and double quotes unless you instead search for the appropriate HTML code. It then displays them as ' and " until you try to expand the quote leftwards. See attached screen shot (QuotesTest_SingleQuote_SearchSideEffect.png)

Thanks for your efforts toward a more straightforward and intuitive import of data.
